CRAIG WALKER (1)

SONGWRITER CRAIG WALKER IS ONE QUARTER OF FRENCH/IRISH ELECTRO-POP QUARTET MINERAL – SIGNED BY ALAN McGEE TO HIS NEW LABEL 359 MUSIC, AND ON THE VERGE OF RELEASING DEBUT ALBUM PLASTIC EKPHRASTIC.

Immigrants Emigrants And Me
Earlier this week The Mouth Magazine posted an interview focusing on Mineral (here) – but in this nostalgic two-part edition of The Mouthcast Walker looks back at his time fronting much-loved Dublin-based indie band Power Of Dreams in the early 1990s.
He discusses his lifelong passion for music and reveals the influence his brother’s record collection had on his life. He talks about the band’s exuberant early days. The band’s debut album –  IMMIGRANTS, EMIGRANTS AND ME (released 1990) – remains one of the finest first statements by an Irish group, all the more staggering for the fact that Craig Walker was in his teens when the songs were written.
